Clemson Tigers News: Women’s Soccer, Jaron Blossomgame and Beaux Collins

Happy Hump Day, Clemson fans! This is today’s Clemson Tigers News.

Clemson Women’s Golf finished third at the Cougar Classic at Yeamans Hall Club in Charleston, South Carolina.
Ole Miss won the tournament, followed by LSU in second place.
The Tigers had an all-around excellent weekend with a -30 for the team. Clemson shot each round in the 270s for the first time in program history.
Savannah Grewal tied for the best individual score of the tournament with LSU’s Ingrid Lindblad.
Clemson Men’s Soccer 3, South Florida 2: The Tigers battle back from an early deficit in Tampa to score the victory against the Bulls.
Joran Gerbet scored on a great header in the 67th minute to tie the Bulls 1-1.
Just a few minutes later Brandon Parrish nailed a free kick into the net to take a 2-1 lead.
USF drew even again at 2-2, but Isaiah Easley scored the game winner in the 79th minute.
Clemson opens ACC play at home Friday against Duke.
Clemson Women’s Soccer moves to 8th in the rankings
The hottest team on campus right now is Clemson Women’s Soccer. They are undefeated and are now ranked 8th in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
Goalkeeper Halle Mackiewicz has been honored as the ACC Defensive Player Of The Week.
Mackiewicz has only allowed one goal all season.
The Tigers are preparing to start their ACC schedule against Florida State on Friday.
Jaron Blossomgame donates gift to Clemson Men’s Basketball program
The university has announced that Clemson Men’s Basketball alum Jaron Blossomgame has made a significant contribution to the program. Blossomgame was an All-ACC first teamer for the Tigers in 2017.
He has played professionally in the NBA and in Europe, and is currently with AS Monaco. He stated:
"“This is something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time. I’m happy to give back. I understand the impact that something like this has and the importance of giving back as well. Clemson University has given me so much in my time there and my years after. I’m excited about the future; I’m excited about right now and the generations to come. I want to help give them a similar experience to what I had, which was an incredible one. I want to thank everyone who made this opportunity possible.”"
Beaux Collins receives high PFF grade for Week 2
Beaux Collins was noted by Pro Football Focus as one of the highest rated wide receivers of Week 2 in college football.
Clemson Football has recognized Phil Mafah and Wade Woodaz for their excellence in academics as True Tigers for the week of 9/11/2023.
