The NFL opened its new season this weekend, and several Clemson Football alums had big days. Here is a summary of Tigers in the NFL in Week 1.

Justyn Ross made his NFL debut last Thursday in the Chiefs 21-20 loss to the Detroit Lions. Ross had one catch for six yards.

Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne led the Jacksonville Jaguars into Indianapolis to face the Colts. The Jags won 31-21. Lawrence was 24-32 with 241 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Etienne had 18 carries for 77 yards and one touchdown.

Deshaun Watson was 16-29 for 154 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Cleveland Browns 24-3 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Tee Higgins had zero catches on eight targets for the Bengals. DJ Reader had three tackles.

AJ Terrell had four tackles and one tackle for loss for the Atlanta Falcons as they defeated the Carolina Panthers 24-10. Grady Jarrett has three tackles and half a sack for the Falcons. Bradley Pinion had seven punts for an average of 48.1 yards. Deshawn Williams had three tackles and one tackle for loss for the Panthers.

Hunter Renfrow played thirteen snaps but had zero targets in the Las Vegas Raiders’ 17-16 win over the Denver Broncos.

Clemson Tigers In The NFL had some big defensive games on Sunday

DeAndre Hopkins had seven catches for 65 yards as the Tennessee Titans lost to the New Orleans Saints 16-15. Brian Bresee recorded one tackle and half a sack for the Saints.

K-Von Wallace had seven tackles and two passes defended for the Arizona Cardinals as they lost 20-16 to the Washington Commanders.

Ray-Ray McCloud had three punt returns for an average of 13.9 yards in San Francisco’s 30-7 victory over the Steelers. Clelin Ferrell had two tackles and one tackle for loss for the 49ers.

Christian Wilkins had three tackles in Miami’s 36-34 win over the LA Chargers. Mike Williams had 4 receptions for 45 yards for the Chargers.

Jayron Kearse had seven tackles for the Dallas Cowboys as they blew out the New York Giants 40-0. Dexter Lawrence had four tackles for the Giants.

The Buffalo Bills (Shaq Lawson and Baylon Spector) visit the New York Jets tonight.
