The sun did rise Clemson Nation! Here is today’s Clemson Tigers News.

Scoreboard

Clemson Football 7, Duke 28: The Tigers were exposed on national television on Labor Day Monday. Here is the recap of the game.

Rubbing The Rock will have plenty more fan perspective over the next couple of days.

As expected, the Duke faithful stormed the field after the victory. This was the Blue Devil’s first victory against a Top 10 team in several years.

The story of the game was the mistakes that ended every drive in the second half with disaster. Twice the Tigers were within Duke’s five yard line and coughed up the ball.

While the loss is demoralizing, head coach Dabo Swinney is determined to keep the team’s spirits up.

“I know a lot of people are probably going to quit … I ain’t quittin’ and I ain’t throwin’ this team away.”
Swinney has some tough work ahead. The Tigers face Charleston Southern and Florida Atlantic the next two weeks before taking on the Florida State Seminoles, who will now be the clear favorites to win the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Will Shipley passes career milestone

While this loss is brutal for Clemson fans, there was a silver lining. Will Shipley had a solid game, and had a personal achievement.

During the third quarter, Shipley officially crossed the 2,000-yard mark for rushing in his career.

Shipley had 17 carries for 117 yards, 6 receptions for 26 yards, and one receiving touchdown. He averaged 6.7 yards per carry. He was the lone bright spot on a dismal night for Clemson Football.

Clemson United still ranked after victory against archrival

Clemson Men’s Soccer won their tenth straight victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks this week, and as a result they remain ranked in the Top Drawer soccer poll.
