Clemson Football has dispensed another scholarship offer to an offensive lineman from the Class of 2024.

Daniel Akinkunmi has an interesting background. He attends the NFL Academy in England. It is for prospects who are interested in developing their football skills.

Akinkunmi is 6’-4.5” and 310 pounds. His wingspan is 6’-9”. The 247Sports Composite lists him as a 3-star inside offensive lineman prospect.

Akinkunmi has previously announced a Top 10 of Arkansas, Baylor, Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Marshall, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, and Washington State. The Sooners have been the favorites in 247 Crystal Balls and on On3.

He has only been playing football for about a year and a half. Akinkunmi once thought his future was in basketball.

“I’m classed as a big guy. I was taught big skills like center and power forward. I looked into it more [and] I realized that I’m a 6-3, 250 pounds center who doesn’t know point guard skills which I will need to change to if I want to play in the States.”

Clemson Football only has one offensive line prospect committed in the Class of 2024

He does have Hudl highlights of his time playing for NFL Academy. It is difficult to analyze because of the circumstances of who Akinkunmi is playing against in the video. What can be easily determined is that he is a large person who is quite strong. He has no problem blocking the players who he faces.

Though he physically looks the part, he would likely be a project at almost any school he would decide to attend simply because he lacks experience. If he were to select Clemson, he would be a guy who would redshirt in the 2024 season.

The Tigers only have one offensive line commitment thus far in the Class of 2024: Ronan O’Connell, a 3-star offensive tackle prospect from Franklin, Tennessee.

Clemson is currently ranked 13th in the 247Sports Class Rankings. They currently have seventeen commitments, headlined by linebacker Sammy Brown and wide receiver Bryant Wesco.
