Clemson Football: 5 Tigers who will blow up in 2023

Every season, there are players from Clemson Football who establish themselves as major players. Sometimes we see it coming and sometimes it is a surprise.

We knew Will Shipley would be in a position to take a big step. We suspected Barrett Carter was ready to break out.

We hoped Jeremiah Trotter would be as good as he was, but it wasn’t a slam dunk. We hoped KJ Henry and Davis Allen would take that final step but no one could be certain it would happen. They might not have become household names but they earned a draft pick into the NFL.

When I look at this roster I see four players that I think have legitimately “blown up”: Shipley, Trotter, Carter, and Tyler Davis. No one else has truly introduced themselves on the big stage to the nation. Some are known to you and me, but most casual fans outside of Clemson Nation don’t truly understand how good they can be.

Several players could explode upon the scene. My first list had several more players on it that I will touch on at the end.
