Clemson Men’s Soccer 2, Furman 0: Clemson United got the victory in their second exhibition game of the season. The Tigers have one more exhibition on the road against Georgia State on Saturday.
Barrett Carter named to ESPN preseason All-America team
Carter joins Harold Perkins from LSU and Jamon Dumas-Johnson from Georgia at linebacker. Alabama’s Dallas Turner was named as a linebacker/edge rusher hybrid.
Corian Gipson will play in a high school All-Star Game
Clemson Football commit Corian Gipson will play in the Polynesian Bowl high school All-Star game in January. The game is played in Hawaii, and he will be joining fellow Texan and Clemson commit Bryant Wesco at the game.
Justyn Ross injury doesn’t appear to be serious
Clemson Football alum Justyn Ross was injured in practice yesterday and left the field on the cart, causing some concern for fans who have been pulling for Ross to make it to the NFL regular season.
While we don’t have a lot of information yet, Ian Rapaport posted that the injury does not appear to be serious.
Clemson swaps spots with Florida State in another preseason poll
Though not as well known as the AP Top 25, the Football Writers Association of America and the National Football Foundation do a poll called the Super 16 Poll, and they just released their preseason edition.
The Super 16 is very similar to the AP Top 25, except Clemson is ranked at 8th, one spot ahead of Florida State.
The message we should glean from this is that both teams are very good, and their upcoming meeting in Death Valley should be epic.
Clemson Football has made a new offer to a Class of 2025 propsect. DJ Pickett, the No. 1 safety and overall Top 10 talent in the class, has announced a Clemson offer. He recently released a list of top schools, so time will tell if Clemson will now be included among them.
