Lucas Glover wins second championship in a row
Two weeks ago, Clemson Golf alum Lucas Glover didn’t even know if he was going to qualify for the FedEx playoffs. Today, he can say he won his last two tournaments.
Glover won the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis this weekend by winning a playoff with Patrick Cantlay. The win, which follows his victory in the Wyndham Championship, brings him up to 30th in the standings.
Now there is talk of a spot on the Ryder Cup team. He would need a third win in a row to qualify. but he is a strong candidate for a captain’s pick. Glover responded with:
"“Playing pretty good golf, and I think I’d be pretty good in the team room and be a good partner. So yeah, absolutely I would.”"
Next up is the BMW Championship at Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, Illinois.
