Future Tigers named to All-American team

MaxPreps has released their 2023 preseason All-American High School team, and two members of Clemson Football’s Class of 2023 were included.

Linebacker Sammy Brown and kicker Nolan Hauser were both named to the First-Team by MaxPreps.

On Brown:

"“The multi-sport standout was named the 2022-23 MaxPreps Male Athlete of the Year and piled up 113 tackles to go with 1,449 yards rushing and 24 touchdowns on offense.”"

On Hauser:

"“Has made at least 20 field goals in each of the last two seasons.”"

A fellow ACC team got bad news yesterday

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons lost some talent at wide receiver after last season, but one bright spot was the return of Donavon Greene. Unfortunately they had a setback yesterday.

Best case, Greene could return in November. If the injury takes the full five months, Greene will miss the entire season.

Clemson Football cornerback improving following surgery

Cornerback Jaedyn Lukus started fall camp last week wearing a yellow jersey, which means he was considered ‘no contact’. This is typically done when a player is injured or recovering from surgery. Lukus had surgery during spring practices this year, and expected to be ready for fall camp.

It is unknown if Lukus is still recovering from the surgery or if he encountered another setback, but the good news is that The Clemson Insider noted he was wearing a green jersey on Monday, which means he has been upgraded to ‘limited contact’.

This is good news. Lukus is expected to be part of the two-deep at cornerback along with Toriano Pride.

The NFL Top 100 has been released in it’s entirety, and Clemson ended up with five players included: Trevor Lawrence, DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Wilkins, Grady Jarrett and Dexter Lawrence.

This put Clemson in a tie for third place with Oklahoma for most players from a single school on the list.
