No offense to FOX’s pregame college football show, but ESPN’s College GameDay is the godfather of college football shows on Saturday morning. The pageantry of the students and fans filling up the set illustrates what is so special about college sports. Few fanbases demonstrate this as well as Clemson Football.

Some of GameDay’s best shows have been on Bowman Field. The students show up early and in volume. Head coach Dabo Swinney will always give them a great interview. Not to mention the legend that is Sloppy Body.

Let’s face it: due to the primary sponsor, College GameDay’s main color is orange. It’s a natural fit in the upstate of South Carolina.

If GameDay has a prioritized list of destinations they would like to visit every season, I think Clemson, South Carolina is on the list.

The show visited last season’s matchup against NC State, and it was another successful broadcast. It was the eighth time GameDay had visited in the show’s history and the 30th time Clemson played in a game where GameDay visited.

It’s only natural to look ahead and speculate. I correctly predicted GameDay to visit for the Wolfpack game last year, so I do have a track record here.

Here are the five games that are the most likely to be selected by ESPN to host College GameDay in the 2023 football season.
