Football recruiting is again the lead story for the Clemson Tigers this morning. Unfortunately, it isn’t the best news. Offensive lineman William Satterwhite committed to the Tennessee Volunteers on Friday afternoon.

Satterwhite is a 4-star inside offensive line prospect from Akron, Ohio. He is ranked 191st overall in the 247Sports Composite. He is getting ready to start his senior season at Archbishop Hoban High School.

At 6′-3″ and 300 lbs, Satterwhite would have been a strong addition to Clemson’s 2024 class. The Tigers and offensive line coach Thomas Austin might not have to wait much longer to get their next commitment though. Prospect Fletcher Westphal announces his decision on Monday. The Tigers are competing with Arkansas and Florida for his commitment.

Clemson’s hardest working future player, 2024 commitment David Eziomume, has been hard at work trying to convince some important prospects to choose the Tiger hat when their announcements are made.

Mike Matthews has not set a date for his commitment. Corian Gipson announces on July 22nd.

There are now three 247 Crystal Balls for Westphal pointed towards Clemson.

Clemson athletics broke ground on new facilities this past December that will support the gymnastics, lacrosse and rowing teams. The Women’s Lacrosse team posted new pictures of the progress.

The Clemson Tigers continue to invest in their athletic programs

The new lacrosse facility will be ready for the team’s 2024 season. They played the 2023 season at Historic Riggs Field. The new stadium will also include a 9,000 square foot complex for lacrosse operations.

The gymnastics team will have a new 21,000 square foot complex that will have practice facilities and offices. The rowing team’s current training room and other facilities will be renovated,

All three sports will share a new 10,000 square foot training and recovery facility for sports medicine, sports science, nutrition and strength & conditioning.

Former walk-on Domonique Thomas showed one of the reasons he is known as Quadzilla on Friday.
