Clemson football will be represented at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama by defensive end K.J. Henry at tight end Davis Allen.

The former Tiger stars will be members of the National team, which includes players from teams from everywhere from Appalachian State to North Dakota to Washington State.

The game promotes itself as the preeminent college football all-star game and produced a record-tying 106 total picks for the second straight year in 20220, which equates to 40 percent of the entire NFL draft, including 45 of the top 100 players selected.

All that to say, it’s a big deal for the players selected to play in the game.

Clemson football 2022 permanent captains K.J. Henry and Davis Allen will showcase their talents for NFL scouts in the Senior Bowl

The 6’4, 247-pound Henry totaled 147 career tackles, including 28 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, 11 pass breakups, 4 fumble recoveries and 2 forced fumbles in  58 career games and his 58 career games were the most ever by a Clemson defensive end

Henry is a two-time All-ACC Academic Team selection who earned multiple degrees at Clemson and was voted as a permanent captain prior to the 2022 season.

Coming to Clemson, Henry was a 5-Star rated talent and the No. 14 player overall in the Class of 2018 out of West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina.

The less heralded Allen came to Clemson as a 3-Star recruit, No. 807 overall, out of Calhoun High in Calhoun, Georgia, but developed into one of the most dependable Tiger receivers in his time at Clemson.

The 6’5, 246-pound Allen was also voted as a permanent team captain prior to the 2022 season totaled 88 receptions for 951 yards and 12 touchdowns in 54 games, while also playing special teams, which may serve him well as he works towards and NFL career.

One NFL Draft site has Henry ranked as the No. 7 defensive end available and the 98th best player overall, while Allen is the 19th ranked tight end.
