Clemson football remains well-represented despite the number of teams remaining being almost halved this week in the NFL playoffs.

We’ve spent a fair amount of time here on Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne, because of the story – from 3-14 to the playoffs – but that doesn’t mean others aren’t contributing in big ways.

The Jags fell to Kansas City Saturday afternoon, but Trevor and Travis acquitted themselves fairly well for an emerging Jacksonville team.

Dexter Lawrence has had a particularly good season with the Giants and K’Von Wallace and Mario Goodrich are in Philadelphia.

Sunday’s games bring more Tigers to your screen, with 5 combined on the rosters in each of the two games.

Clemson Baseball preseason recognition

With Cooper Ingle being named preseason All-American, it makes sense he’s on the list below, but there are other Tiger baseball players earning preseason recognition by Perfect Game.

We discussed the baseball team on last week’s Sluggo Podcast as both myself and my co-host Casey Cregan are both looking forward to the 2023 season and the birth of the Erik Bakich era.

It’s a weird spot for a Clemson baseball fan as a program known for it’s steady performance and continuity in coaching staff over decades has been in an upheaval (relatively) in the last decade.

It’s with hopeful optimism that I look forward to the season, with the understanding that it’s a building process and the Tigers could either end up 14-42 or 42-14, but probably somewhere in between, like most teams in the country.

I’m hopeful for improved fundamentals and processes that decrease the odds of the wild swings we saw under Monte Lee.

Clemson Women’s Basketball is on the road Sunday for a 2 p.m. EST start at Boston College as the Tigers (12-8, 3-5 in ACC play) look for another ACC win.
