The college football season came to a close last night in Los Angeles with Georgia soundly defeating TCU. The Clemson Tigers finished 13th in the final AP Poll of the season. Rubbing The Rock will have more discussion on the final poll later today. Stay tuned.

Clemson Football fans are eager to see the home team back in the playoffs as soon as possible.

Early projections have been released for the 2023 national championship, and the Tigers are once again in the conversation. Clemson is tied with TCU with the eighth best chances to win it all.

This list was released before the championship game was completed, so keep in mind every projection at this point is merely speculative.

The games for this season may be over, but recruiting never stops, and Clemson has multiple targets who will be announcing their verbal commitments soon.

In-state offensive lineman Kam Pringle announced that he will be committing later this month.

Pringle has both Clemson and South Carolina on his list of finalists, and both programs have recruited him for some time now. 247Sports has two Crystal Balls for South Carolina. The in-state rival may have won this recruitment.

A more immediate announcement will come this Friday from tight end Christian Bentancur. He is the 102nd ranked player in 2024. Rivals.com has projected Bentancur to select the Tigers. At 6′-5″ and 240 pounds coming off his high school junior season, he would be the presumed heir apparent to Jake Briningstool at tight end for the Tigers.

Clemson Tigers baseball coach Erik Bakich understands Clemson’s brand

Clemson Baseball is gearing up for their 2023 season with new head coach Erik Bakich. Coach Bakich appeared on MLB Hot Stove yesterday morning and the hosts asked about Clemson’s brand and how he intends to build the program.

"“What you can find on the internet is we’ve got a Top 25 academic program and a blue blood baseball program, a historic program. Maybe what you can’t find on the internet is how we are really good at developing the total person….”“…but looking for the very best athletes, very best players but have to be special people, special character kids because that’s so important in building this culture that we’re trying to build.”"

Bakich seems to have a firm grasp on the Clemson University brand.

Finally, Christian Wilkins has been on a tear for the Miami Dolphins.
