There was a time when Clemson football alumni in the NFL were a rare thing and when they achieved something, anything, in the league it was noteworthy to point it out.

These days, the stars of Clemson’s most recent National Championships are all over the league and seemingly in darn near every NFL game.

Then there was the narrative that the Clemson defensive linemen in the NFL were busts, when the truth is you can find any college team that has busts when you have as many high draft picks as the Tigers have recently.

I’ve recently detailed the exploits of Trevor and Travis in Jacksonville, Tee in Cincinnati, and some of the defensive players, but this caught my eye.

Three of the top four.

The truth is, week in and week out these dudes are some of the best in the NFL and don’t let anyone tell you anything different.

I’ve also written about the benefits of bowl practice, both for those already on the team and those just signed.

Yesterday, we got a glimpse of the newest Tigers on the field and their thoughts on practicing with the team immediately after signing.

There are still Clemson football players that have NFL decisions to make

I don’t want to make too much of this, but how great would it be to be a high school kid two weeks ago and now you’re working out in a pro facility?  Crazy.

I also caught this tweet from good friend, JP Priester.  Interesting.

Our own John Chancey followed up with additional context.

I don’t want to get my hopes up, but that sounds at least a bit positive.

Players have until Monday, January 16th to make a final decision on the NFL Draft, so my guess is minds will change, perhaps more than once, in that time frame.

It’s a huge decision in a young man’s life.
