Clemson Football: Time and channel set for Tigers-Gamecocks

Kickoff time and the TV channel were announced for the annual rivalry game between Clemson football and South Carolina, which is scheduled for Saturday, November 26 at Death Valley on the Clemson campus.

The game will kick at 12 p.m. and will be shown on ABC.

The 9-1 Tigers will be searching for their 8th consecutive win over their arch-rival in a series Clemson has dominated to the tune of 72-42-4.

In the last five meetings, Clemson has outscored South Carolina 214-55, an average score of 43-11, with South Carolina scoring more than 10 points only once in that span.

Prior to this run, South Carolina had won 5 straight in the series, but over the last 24 games the Tigers have won 17 of them and South Carolina’s last victory in Clemson was 10 years ago, on November 24th, 2012.

South Carolina is 6-4 under second-year head coach Shane Beamer and faces a daunting task with Tennessee coming to Columbia Saturday.

Of the Gamecocks six wins on the season, three – Georgia State, South Carolina State and Charlotte – have come against non-P5 opponents and only one has come against a team with a current winning record (Kentucky).

Clemson football has worked it’s way through a tough season with only 1 loss in 10 games

For a 9-1 team Clemson has had a turbulent season, full of injuries, tragedy and play that has not always met the standard, and not just at the quarterback position.

Quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei played well in the first six games of the season, but has struggled since, though he did bounce back to a degree against Louisville.

The defense, thought to be among the best in the nation in the preseason, has not consistently lived up to that billing.

Prior to meeting the Gamecocks, the Tigers are a prodigious 19 point favorite over a 5-5 Miami Hurricane team, while South Carolina is a more than three touchdown underdog to the Volunteers.

The Tigers will play North Carolina in the 2022 ACC Championship Game, December 3 in Charlotte.
