Clemson Football: ACC Power Rankings Through Week 10
By Casey Cregan
Clemson football has clinched the ACC Atlantic and will likely face the North Carolina Tar Heels in the ACC Championship Game
4. Louisville Cardinals – Last Week: 6 – (6-3) – The Cards are playing their best football of the season as they beat a game James Madison squad handily on Saturday evening. Surprisingly, quarterback Malik Cunningham was held in check with his feet, but he was able to throw for 223 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead his squad. The defense continues to find its footing led by Senior LB Momo Sanogo. Next up: @ Clemson
3. Florida State Seminoles – Last Week: 4 – (6-3) – Jordan Travis may be the best quarterback in the conference. He’s been really steady this entire season and led his team to a huge victory against rival Miami. The stats do not jump off the page, but he didn’t have to be spectacular last Saturday. The defense forced 6 Miami turnovers and was no match for the much-improved Seminoles. Next up: @ Syracuse
2. Clemson Tigers – Last Week: 1 – (8-1) – A disappointing performance in South Bend, Indiana where the Tigers got nothing going offensively and looked lost at times on defense. Notre Dame didn’t do anything special and managed to run for 263 yards. DJ Uiagalelei threw for 191 yards and 1 touchdown. Will Shipley was a lone bright spot with 63 yards on only 12 carries and a touchdown. They were never in the game on Saturday night. Next up: vs. Louisville
1. North Carolina Tar Heels – Last Week: 2 – (8-1) – Drake Maye continues to impress at the helm of the Tar Heels offense. His defense didn’t do him much favors this past weekend, but he continued to lead his offense with successful drives. Whether it’s with his arm or feet, he’s a very good football player and exciting to watch. WR Josh Downs is a load on the outside, adding 166 yards receiving and a touchdown. Next up: @ Wake Forest
