Clemson football alums Travis Etienne and Trevor Lawrence were front and center as the Jacksonville Jaguars ended a five-game losing streak by coming back from a 17-0 deficit to beat the Las Vegas Raiders 27-20.

Etienne rushed 28 times for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns and caught 2 passes from Lawrence for 17 more yards.

For his part, Lawrence was 25 of 31 for 235 yards and a touchdown and was sharp all day long in the Jags win.

The Jacksonville offense totaled 403 yards on the day as Lawrence was on target and Etienne, after netting 0 yards on his first four carries, finally started gashing the Raiders defense in the second half.

Etienne averaged 3.9 yards per carry, but went over the 100-yard mark for the third consecutive time and now has 680 yards on 120 carries for a 5.7-yard per rush average on the season.

In the two games since the team traded James Robinson to make Etienne the featured back, the former Clemson star has carried 52 times for 265 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Lawrence connected with Christian Kirk 8 times for 76 yards, while two other receivers, Marvin Jones, Jr. and Zay Jones had 5 catches apiece.

In a game that featured a ton of former Clemson football stars, Travis Etienne led the way for the Jaguars

The game featured a ton of former Clemson players, including Hunter Renfrow and Clelin Ferrell for the Raiders.

Renfrow had 3 catches for 26 yards, while Ferrell recorded 2 tackles, a pass defensed and a quarterback hit.

Jacksonville moved to 3-6 on the season with all of the losses coming by one score, the last five in a row, before today’s win.

It was a much needed win for Jacksonville, who travels to Kansas City next week and then, after a week off, faces the Baltimore Ravens on November 13.

After winning only three games all of last season, the Jaguars are vastly improved, even if their record isn’t as pretty as it could be and the young Clemson alums are playing a huge role in the rebuilding of the franchise.
