Clemson football is right where they want to be, 4-0 with a home game against the biggest remaining threat in the ACC Atlantic.

Sure, Florida State is making some noise, but there are many land mines ahead for the Seminoles and one has to imagine that eventually one or two will get them.

Here’s the thing: If the Tigers continue to win, it won’t matter what happens in other games.  Sounds simple, but Clemson faces their biggest test of the season this weekend and it’ll likely be very wet.

Being undefeated is great, but there are things that need to be addressed as we saw last weekend, with number one being the backend of the defense.

Yes, they are the walking wounded and those on the field have been extremely young and for that they are given a wide berth by most.

I don’t think anyone is asking for All-American level play, but rather competitive plays that give your team a chance, like the very last play of the Wake Forest game.

We’ll see if any of the missing are able to play Saturday, but even if they’re not, the guys on the field need to play competently.

Dabo Swinney was confident that Mike Reid will get it fixed and now would be the time for that to happen.
