Clemson football struggled mightily on offense last season. Despite this, there is a decent amount of optimism that the Tiger offense can turn things around and be more effective this coming season. The offense started to find an identity as a run-first attack towards the end of 2021. Quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, who was highly criticized, put in the work to transform his body over the offseason. The offensive line has a new coach and new optimism.

The Tigers have some players who could be on the verge of breaking out to have a huge offensive season. Some have seen position changes, while others showed flashes of their potential in 2021 and just need an opportunity.

Following the staff turnover in December 2021, new offensive coordinator Brandon Streeter and passing coordinator Kyle Richardson have begun to overhaul the offensive scheme by streamlining the playbook and giving the players more options for post-snap adjustments. Changes of that kind can always make it difficult to jump out of the gate quickly, but if Streeter & his staff, which also includes CJ Spiller and new line coach Thomas Austin, can shape the offense to fit the personnel they have, some players who have struggled to reach their potential could be in line for a big jump in production as the season progresses.

These are five offensive players who could be in line for a breakout season.
