Two recruits crystal balls point to Clemson football with more news to come.

As we’ve detailed several times over the last few days the past weekend was a big one for the future of Clemson football.

No, it wasn’t the be all and end all, but it was significant in that the Tiger brass made some changes in their recruiting process and there were a ton of recruits on campus for the staff to share their vision and the recruits to soak up Clemson.

As we’ve said before the weekend, we’ll reiterate today – it’s still early in the process – but maybe not as early as previous years when it seems the recruits waited longer to commit.

Yes, there’s a long way to go, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t celebrate good news, even if it’s not final.

When Clemson gets recruits on campus it changes the calculus of the decision

It appears a couple of those that made the trip now favor Clemson and the positive vibes are welcomed.

A.J. Hoffler, a four star defensive end from Atlanta has been crystal balled to the Tigers by Steve Wiltfong of 247sports as has Markus Dixon a three star tight end from Pennsylvania.

This is one of those deals where the offers likely tell more than the stars and ratings as Hoffler was thought to favor Ohio State and Dixon has a variety of offers from Penn State to Florida State, Miami, Oklahoma and multiple SEC teams.

In short, these are two good players who will likely rise in the ratings.

Again, this is not final and these young men have not even verbally committed to Clemson as of this writing, but the point is Clemson is still Clemson – get them on campus and you have a chance.

No one is perfect, but it should be noted Wiltfong is shown as being correct on 124 of his 127 crystal ball picks for the class of 2023.

It’s recruiting – things change early, often and repeatedly, but the big weekend for Clemson is already paying dividends.
