Dabo Swinney Camp opens with a plethora of quarterbacks on the Clemson campus.

As the Dabo Swinney High School Camp opened Wednesday and Clemson football ramped up recruiting ahead of the big recruiting weekend, I couldn’t help but notice the number of quarterbacks that were on campus and getting noticed.

Sure, there were mountain men of young linemen, elite wide receivers and even a running back or two, but it seemed like the quarterbacks dominated the news cycle or at least the Twittersphere.

Davis also left with an offer, which is significant as he’s one of the top players, regardless of position, in the 2024 class.

Jason Priester of AllClemson.com had this take on Davis and mentioned another 2024 quarterback the Tigers have offered:

"2024 QB Jadyn Davis threw for the coaches in the morning session and the signal-caller out of Savannah Day did not disappoint, becoming the second 2024 quarterback in as many days to pick up an offer. 2024 QB D.J. Lagway announced an offer on Tuesday. While some might consider Davis undersized due to his height (6-foot), he absolutely looks the part. He just oozes confidence, and it’s a quiet confidence at that. He has all the pieces, including the arm strength, accuracy and moxie that is routinely seen in some of the best quarterbacks."

Clemson offers two 2024 QBs in two days, after offering only 2 in entire 2023 cycle

As we know, Clemson only put out two quarterback offers in the entire 2023 cycle in Arch Manning and verbal commit Chris Vizzina and here they are in June with two offers in two days for two quarterbacks in the 2024 cycle.  Could that indicate a shift in philosophy to more offers that many Clemson fans think is the answer?

Davis is listed at a five star by 247sports and measures out at 6’0, 190 and already has offers from a who’s who of college football programs.

Likewise, Lagaway is a five star from Willis, Texas is listed at 6’2, 215 and also has a list of offers from significant college programs.

Davis is listed as the 9th best player in the 2024 class by 247sports and the second rated quarterback, while Lagaway is the 46th ranked player and fifth rated quarterback.

With their 2023 quarterback already committed, Clemson has decided to move early on the quarterbacks in the 2024 cycle.

Next. What to expect from Clemson's big recruiting weekend. dark
