Andrew Booth, Jr. only played in 25 games for Clemson football, but my what an impression he made in those games and in pre-draft evaluations.

While Booth, Jr. is not in the first round of every NFL Mock Draft, he’s in the majority of the ones I’ve seen, as he is in this three rounder from Ryan Wilson of CBSSports.com.

Wilson has Booth going in the 25th spot to the Bills and provides this commentary:

"Andrew Booth had a strong ’21 season for Clemson and he’s only going to get better with experience. With Tre White returning from ACL surgery, the Bills would have the makings of one of the most athletic secondaries in the AFC."

This isn’t your Daddy’s Bills teams that C.J. Spiller and Sammy Watkins were sentenced to, but rather a very good playoff team and a favorite in the AFC East and playing for Buffalo is no longer the career killer it once was seen as.

Booth, Jr. had sports hernia surgery earlier this year, but should be available once organized team activities begin.

At Clemson Booth accumulated 68 total tackles, 6 tackles for loss, one sack and 9 passes defensed.

Below is an interception he had no business making.

And here he is defending the run against the National Champions, showing that he’s not afraid to get in the middle of a running play from his corner position.

Like most evaluators, Wilson ranks Booth, Jr. as the third best cornerback in the draft behind Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner of Cincinnati (projected 7th to the Giants) and Derek Stingley, Jr. from LSU (projected 12th to the Vikings).

Booth, Jr. is listed as 6’0, 200 pounds and attended Archer High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia before committing to Clemson.

Despite four Tigers being invited to the NFL combine, Booth, Jr. is the only Tiger projected to be drafted in this three round mock.
