The last opportunity to see the Clemson football team in action in Death Valley will come this Saturday afternoon in a game that has major implications in the ACC Atlantic Division race.

The No. 13-ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons will come to town for a noon game and a chance to clinch the division with a win. Clemson, on the other hand, holds a 5-2 record in conference and the Tigers will be looking to keep themselves alive in the division race and pull off what we be their biggest win of the season thus far.

If Clemson was to beat Wake Forest this week, the Tigers would need the Demon Deacons to lose next week to Boston College and they would need NC State to lose to either Syracuse or UNC to clinch a spot in the ACC Championship game.

Clemson vs. Wake Forest Odds Week 12

The Week 12 betting odds on WynnBET have Clemson surprisingly listed as a 4.5-point favorite over Wake Forest. The over/under total for the game is set at 56 points.

In many ways, this is a surprising spread considering the Demon Deacons are undefeated in conference play and they’re coming off a win over NC State, a team that beat the Tigers earlier in the season.

Clemson vs. Wake Forest Prediction Week 12

This isn’t meant to be taken as a slight, but the only reason that the Tigers are considered a favorite in this one is because of name recognition and the fact that it’s at home.

Home field advantage will play a major factor in this one and there’s no question that this Tiger defense will be the best unit that Wake Forest has faced this season.

But, the question is if the Clemson offense– hobbled by injuries galore– can keep up.

While there’s certainly hope that the Tigers come out and win this game, the woes we are seeing on offense lead us to believe the safe bet is on Wake Forest to cover that 4.5-point spread. Perhaps the Tigers eek out a win by a field goal on Saturday, but we’re going to at least take the Demon Deacons to cover the spread and, honestly, feel better about their chances of winning the game Saturday than the Tigers’ currently.
