Ever since Clemson football picked up a commitment from 4-star WR Adam Randall, the Tigers have zeroed in on one other prospect at the position: 4-star WR Andre Greene Jr.

In just a couple of weeks, we’ll get to see if that time and effort paid off.

Greene Jr., a 4-star WR from Richmond, VA, announced a final three of Clemson, North Carolina and Georgia on Wednesday and said that he would be committing on Wednesday, Nov. 17.

The talented prospect has already taken official visits to Georgia and North Carolina, but will be saving his commitment date for after his official visit to Clemson, which will happen next Saturday, Nov. 13th when the Tigers face UConn.

Greene Jr. said that his final visit will solidify whether or not he commits to Clemson football

In an interview with On3 Sports’ Chad Simmons, Greene Jr. emphasized the importance of his upcoming visit to Clemson.

"“That Clemson visit will really solidify a lot of things for me,” Greene said. “I need to take that so I can compare things. I need to think things through after this visit, but this visit is needed to make things clear.“It is tight for me to be honest. There is a couple of schools up there, but there is still a lot for me to think about. I do not not have my mind made up.“That visit to Clemson is big. That has to happen first before I can make my decision.”"

Many recruiting insiders have pegged North Carolina as the slight favorite to land the 4-star while Georgia has come on scorching hot as of late. Greene has taken the most visits to Clemson, however, and the Tigers will have a chance to play ‘closer’ here down the stretch with his final visit.

Right now, it’s simply too close to call in terms of who ends up with Greene’s commitment, but the one thing we’ll say one thing: Clemson has put itself in position.

Greene Jr. has drawn a lot of comparisons to UGA great A.J. Green and it’s clear that he has the raw talent to contribute at the collegiate level from very early on.
