The Clemson Tigers will face their first true road test of the season this Saturday when they travel up to Raleigh to take on ACC Atlantic foe, the N.C. State Wolfpack.

Clemson comes into this one holding a 2-1 record, though the Tigers weren’t convincing last weekend in Death Valley. They came away with an ugly 14-8 win over Georgia Tech in a game that most Tiger fans simply won’t forget for a while.

N.C. State also boasts a 2-1 record with their lone loss coming on the road against Mississippi State in week 2. The Wolfpack rebounded from that loss this past weekend with a blowout win over Furman.

Clemson vs N.C. State Odds Week 4

The Week 4 betting odds on WynnBET  have the Tigers listed as 10-point favorite and they have moneyline odds of -390. N.C. State, a 10-point underdog at home, has a moneyline of +295. The over/under for this game is set at 47 points.

Clemson vs. N.C. State Prediction Week 4

Things have not gone as planned thus far for this Clemson offense. The Tigers are rated last in the ACC in explosive plays and they simply haven’t been able to find any rhythm whatsoever, at least not so far.

N.C. State will be without two of their best defensive players in linebacker Payton Wilson and safety Cyrus Fagan, who both had season-ending surgery last week. That being said, if you can’t score against Georgia Tech’s defense at home, we’re not going to be firm believers that you can score against N.C. State on the road, either.

Clemson may win this game straight-up, but we’re taking N.C. State with the 10 points and, honestly, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if they ended up winning the game outright. The Wolfpack should be able to frustrate the Tiger offense and that’s going to lead to another rough and ugly game where defenses dominate and offense is at a premium.

The Tigers won’t give up a ton of points, but they won’t be able to score either. In the end, we’ll give Clemson the slightest of edges to win the game by single digits, but we don’t feel great about it.

If you’re looking for a ‘lock’ on this game, take the ‘under’ because it almost seems impossible at this point that these two teams will combine for 47 points or more.
