The Clemson football team will look to get back in the win column this Saturday against S.C. State after taking a loss at the hands of the Georgia Bulldogs last weekend.

The game will mark the first time in nearly two years since we’ve seen a full-capacity Death Valley and it’s clear that the atmosphere for the matchup– even if it is a lesser FCS opponent– will be electric as Clemson football fans make their way back into the stadium.

Interestingly enough, the Clemson game this weekend won’t kickoff until 5 p.m. That means that Tiger fans will have time both prior to and after the game to watch other matchups around the country.

The best games for Clemson football fans to watch in CFB Week 2

Noon Slate

  • Illinois at Virginia, 11 a.m. (ACC Network)
  • Oregon at Ohio State, 12 p.m. (FOX)
  • South Carolina at East Carolina, 12 p.m. (ESPN 2)
  • Pittsburgh at Tennessee, 12 p.m. (ESPN)

There are some decent– or at least intriguing– matchups in this noon slate. First of all, what is South Carolina doing traveling to East Carolina?

Other than that, there are two chances for the ACC to right some wrongs from last weekend if Pittsburgh and Virginia are able to come out victorious. The biggest game of the slate, without question, is Oregon-Ohio State. The winner of that game will be propelled up the rankings and it would go ahead and take the mulligan away for the rest of the season for the loser.

Afternoon Slate

  • Rutgers at Syracuse, 2 p.m. (ACC Network)
  • UAB at Georgia, 3:30 p.m. (ESPN 2)
  • Texas A&M at Colorado, 3:30 p.m. (FOX)
  • Iowa at Iowa State, 4:30 p.m. (ABC)
  • SC State at Clemson, 5 p.m. (ACC Network)

Obviously the game most Clemson football fans will be watching here is the Tigers to see how the offense improves after an abysmal Week 1. Iowa State-Iowa is a fun rivalry matchup and it will be interesting to see if Colorado can hang with Texas A&M.

Evening Slate

  • Appalachian State at Miami, 7 p.m. (ESPN U)
  • NC State at Mississippi State, 7 p.m. (ESPN 2)
  • Missouri at Kentucky, 7:30 p.m. (SEC Network)
  • Washington at Michigan, 8 p.m. (ABC)
  • Utah at BYU, 10:15 p.m. (FOX)
  • Stanford at USC, 10:30 p.m. (FOX)

Following Clemson’s game, there are a few options for the nightcap. Can NC State make a statement and propel themselves into the top-25 with a win on the road? Can Miami rebound against Appalachian State? Utah-BYU could be a fun one.
