There has been some widespread rumors surrounding the Clemson football program heading into its matchup against the No. 5-ranked Georgia Bulldogs.

The Tigers and Bulldogs are set to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. E.T. in Bank of America Stadium Saturday evening on ABC in front of what is expected to be close to 70,000 fans. In addition to the thousands in attendance, there will also be millions more watching at home from around the nation.

One of the major rumors– started on a UGA message board and then lit up on the internet– heading into this game had to do with WR Justyn Ross.

The rumor stated that Ross had broken his foot and would not be available for the game against Georgia. While we said that we couldn’t find any truth to that rumor and Tigernet’s David Hood reported as much, there have still been Clemson football fans worrying about the potential that it could be true.

Well, the official Clemson football Twitter account should have put that worry to bed.

Just as it does before every road game, the official Twitter account posted photos of many players as they get ready to get on the buses and head up to the airport. One of the pictures posted? WR Justyn Ross, who looked to be walking just fine.

Clemson football will release its official availability report at some point on Saturday

Other Clemson players who were pictured– meaning they are making the trip to Charlotte– were D.J. Uiagalelei, Andrew Booth Jr., Malcolm Greene, Myles Murphy, Dacari Collins, Ray Thornton, Andrew Mukuba, Ajou Ajou, Beaux Collins, Sheridan Jones, Braden Galloway, Keith Maguire, Bryan Bresee, James Skalski, Nolan Turner (who also had rumors about him), BT Potter and others.

Just because a player wasn’t posted does not mean that they aren’t making the trip.

However, one player we were specifically looking for in these posts was DT Tyler Davis. Davis has been rumored to have tested positive for COVID and will be unavailable for the game Saturday evening.

If he is unable to go, it will be a huge blow to the Tigers’ interior line. He is the best run-stopper on the team and his experience can’t be replaced. Ruke Orhorhoro and Tre Williams will be the two major players to step up in his place if Davis is, indeed, not available.

In all truthfulness, we won’t know who’s unavailable until the report comes out on Saturday. That being said, those names above are at least not in protocol and look to be ready to go as we get ready for the matchup against the Bulldogs.
