Clemson football: QB commit Cade Klubnik picks up deserved fifth-star
Clemson football QB commit Cade Klubnik has surged up the recruiting rankings more so than any other prospect in the 2022 recruiting class.
Klubnik was once an afterthought by many national recruiting analysts as he was ranked outside the top-100 players and not even inside the top-15 quarterbacks by many recruiting services, but that all has changed over the course of the last few months.
Klubnik’s rise up recruiting rankings really started earlier this past winter when he led Westlake to a state championship at the highest level of Texas High School football against Ohio State QB commit Quinn Ewers, who was ranked as the No. 1 overall player in the nation and is now enrolling at Ohio State early because of his seven-figure NIL deal.
Klubnik outdueled the talented Ewers and did so in a way that got even the most skeptical analysts talking and it didn’t stop there.
Just a month ago, Klubnik went to the Elite 11 and came away as the most impressive performer at the position. He was deadly accurate and showed great arm talent to go along with his foot work and ability to extend plays with his legs.
Now, the Clemson football commit has finally received his deserved fifth-star
In the latest update of the 247 Sports’ rankings, Klubnik surged up the boards yet again.
He is now rated as a 5-star by the 247 Sports’ composite player rankings and is the No. 4 quarterback in the nation and the No. 32 overall player. In the Top 247 rankings, Klubnik is listed as the No. 1 overall quarterback in the nation and the No. 36 overall player.
No matter where you have Klubnik ranked, the truth of the matter is that he has proven that he can make a major impact.
It’s not his raw talent or skills that have solely pushed him so far up the rankings, it’s his leadership style and the fact that he just finds a way to win.
Klubnik is going to have a great opportunity to be the next face of the Clemson football program after D.J. Uiagalelei and there’s no doubt the Tigers will be in good hands if that proves to be the case.
