Clemson football: The biggest week of the summer 2021 is here

The Clemson football program just had one of its biggest days of the 2022 recruiting cycle this past Saturday when 4-star S Keon Sabb and 4-star CB Daylen Everette both committed to the Tigers within an hour of one another.

With the additions of Sabb and Everette, Clemson has risen up recruiting rankings boards and the Tigers are in good shape as we look ahead to a few final targets in the cycle.

Recruiting won’t be the only thing on display this week for Clemson football, though.

This is the biggest week of the summer for the Clemson football program

We’re just a couple of weeks out from the start of preseason camp and we’ve officially got six Saturdays remaining before the 2021 season-opener against the Georgia Bulldogs in Bank of America Stadium.

Do you know what has to come before the start of preseason camp, though?

  • 2021 Clemson football media day
  • 2021 ACC Football Kickoff
  • All-In Cookout

We’re going to see all three of those event take place this week.

Dabo Swinney and several coaches will meet with the media on Tuesday as they look forward to the upcoming season. That will be followed by Swinney and three Tigers- D.J. Uiagalelei, Matt Bockhorst and James Skalski- who will meet with the media up in Charlotte during the ACC Football Kickoff.

After a week full of previewing the season for the first ‘official time,’ the Clemson coaching staff will focus in on one of the traditionally biggest recruiting events of the year in the All-In Cookout.

Clemson still has targets like 4-star CB Jeadyn Lukus, 5-star DT Travis Shaw, 4-star RB Trevor Etienne, 4-star WR Andre Green Jr., 4-star DT Gabe Dindy and 4-star TE Oscar Delp that they’ll be looking to advance their recruitments with over the course of the next few weeks before preseason camp begins. At this point, we don’t have a verified list of All-In Cookout attendees, but we can tell you that each of the prospects above have at least received the invitation.

It’s the biggest week of the summer for Clemson football. So, buckle up. It’s time for the fun to begin.
