The Clemson football coaching staff will await the decision from 5-star ATH/S Keon Sabb on Saturday afternoon.

Sabb, who is rated as the No. 22 overall player in the nation by 247 Sports’ composite player rankings and the No. 55 overall player by Rivals, is set to announce his commitment at 4 p.m. this Saturday afternoon live on CBS Sports HQ.

The IMG Academy prospect is one of two Clemson football targets- the other being 4-star CB Daylen Everette- set to announce on Saturday.

Clemson football crystal ball prediction for 5-star Keon Sabb

Clemson has been heavily entrenched in a battle for Sabb for quite some time and while there are some smoke and mirrors- as with every recruitment- the overarching belief is that the Tigers are the favorites to win his services.

Sabb will announce his decision between finalist group of Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Penn State, Texas A&M and LSU. In June, Sabb took visits to Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Penn State and Texas A&M. Sabb originally had Oregon inside his top-six and was set to visit this fall, but he changed the Ducks out for the Wolverines and there is a contingent who believe Michigan has a shot at landing him.

As we stand a day out from his commitment ceremony, both 247 Sports and Rivals have him projected as a Clemson commit. Two 247 Sports experts have placed crystal ball predictions- with Anna Hickey’s crystal ball coming in this week with a ‘medium confidence- and Rivals has a Future Cast prediction 100 percent in the Tigers’ favor.

So, what should Clemson football fans expect when Sabb announces on Saturday?

Nothing is an absolute in the world of recruiting, but we would at least point the needle in favor of the Tigers. The overarching sense is that Sabb decided to announce his commitment after learning he wouldn’t be able to attend the All-In Cookout because of IMG Academy’s visitation rules once the players report to campus.

As a result, it seems he’s content with shutting down his recruitment and that seems to be a good thing for the Tigers.
