Clemson football players will now have the opportunity to benefit from their name, image and likeness (NIL) as we move forward as part of the interim NIL policy put in place by the NCAA.

We’ve already seen hundreds of athletes from around the country announce endorsement deals or paid partnerships in some shape or form and the expectation is that we’ll hear from many more in the near future.

But what about those NIL opportunities that were missed by players who already graduated or moved on to the NFL before NIL was allowed?

We reached out to Clemson football fans on Twitter and asked about perfect NIL pairings that could’ve been a part of former Tigers had NIL been passed just a few years sooner.

Here’s a look at five perfect NIL opportunities that were missed out on by Clemson football players.

5. Hunter Renfrow and Allstate

Allstate: ‘You’re in good hands.’

I can’t think of anyone better to represent the brand of ‘good hands’ than Hunter Renfrow.

Can you imagine the fun commercials that Allstate could’ve had with Renfrow following that game-winning catch against Alabama with one second left back in 2016?

After making that game-winning catch, Renfrow would go on to be known as the ‘safety blanket’ for three different Clemson quarterbacks- Deshaun Watson, Kelly Bryant and Trevor Lawrence- during his illustrious college career that saw him end up winning two National Championships.
