The rivalry between Clemson football fans and South Carolina fans continues to remain strong even if the two programs didn’t match up on the gridiron in 2020.

As we look ahead to the 2021 season, one of the most exciting portions of the fall will be the return of one of the most-heated rivalries in all of College Football in Clemson vs. South Carolina.

While it’s not very competitive on the field- Clemson football has won seven-straight and the Tigers are still light years ahead of the Gamecocks- the bragging rights and the amount of trash talk off the field is as prevalent as any other rivalry in the country.

On the heels of NIL going into effect, a Tweet surfaced from Hunter Wise pointing out that an ‘NIL perk’ for South Carolina will be that the Gamecocks have a recording studio for players who might want to record an album.

Of course, things just went downhill from there especially with a reply from Tiger Commenter.

Clemson football fans love having fun at the expense of their down rival

It shouldn’t be surprising to see fans of opposing teams take the low-hanging fruit as a way to make fun of the Gamecocks.

Though South Carolina hasn’t won anything significant in close to a decade now, the fan base continues to act as if they are on an elite level because of the conference patch on their uniforms.

When you add in the fact that Clemson didn’t have the opportunity to beat South Carolina last year, you get an offseason full of ‘hopeful’ Gamecock fans that somehow believe it’s a real rivalry and they’ve been talking a big game on Twitter for quite a few months now.

As far as the music studio is concerned, there are legitimate questions as to if using that on-campus facility to generate income would be breaking NCAA rules.

While there are likely loopholes, it probably won’t matter in the long run because the NCAA still has no clue what it’s doing anyway.
