A fast-rising prospect in the class of 2022 just recently received an offer from Clemson football and is currently trending towards the Tigers.

4-star ATH Jaren Kanak announced that he had received an offer from Clemson on June 1st and he took a visit to Tiger Town last week to meet with the coaching staff, in particular defensive coordinator Brent Venables who dished out the offer.

Kanak, a native of Hays, Kansas, is now approaching close to 40 offers- including from schools like Alabama, Michigan, Arizona, Baylor, Florida, Oklahoma and Texas A&M- and the belief is that the list is only going to grow as we approach the summer months and he continues to make visits.

Despite Kanak just recently taking an official visit to Michigan and he has one scheduled for Alabama later this month, it’s Clemson football who seems to be holding a slight edge in the early portion of his recruitment.

247 Sports just recently gave a crystal ball prediction in favor of Clemson football for the 4-star

247 Sports’ Steve Wiltfong put in a crystal ball prediction for Kanak to Clemson back in May and Clemson 247 insider Anna Hickey just put in another crystal ball prediction for the Tigers on June 8th.

Wiltfong listed his confidence in the pick as ‘medium’ while Hickey lists her confidence as ‘high.’

From what we’ve gathered about Kanak, he’s not in any rush to make a decision. The belief is that he’ll take all of his official visits- which should include a trip to Clemson this fall- before making a final decision, but the Tigers are in great position.

Venables’ ties to the state of Kansas should help Clemson football in his recruitment and it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

The Tigers have been conservative in their approach to linebacker recruitment since the loss of 4-star Jalon Walker, but it seems they’re beginning to show some direction as we inch closer to the Elite Retreat and the All-In Cookout.

Next. Nick Saban extension is great news for Clemson. dark
