The Clemson football program has struggled mightily in the recruiting department since the NCAA imposed a Dead Period more than a year ago.

Recruits have not been able to meet on-campus with coaches and that has hurt Clemson in a big way.

All programs have been effected in one way or another, but there have been several recruitments during this time period where the Tigers weren’t able to get a solid footing that they likely would have if the prospect had been able to visit.

That all will be considered history as the calendar turns to June.

Hopefully as the Dead Period comes to an end, so does the recruiting woes for Clemson football

We all know that there’s something special about Clemson.

We’ve heard countless stories from fans of other teams who make the trip to Death Valley and just come back blown away with the entire area.

From the overall atmosphere to the electricity in the stadium to the breathtaking views to the ‘college town feel’ and everything in-between, people who have made the trip come way impressed and the same can be said about recruits. Oh, and we should probably throw in the fact that the Clemson football program has world-class facilities that stack up with any other program in the nation.

As the dead period comes to a close and we’re set to see recruits make visits again, Clemson is set to have a big month. The Tigers are set to host a ton of 4-stars and 5-stars with two major events: Dabo Swinney’s Football Camp and the Elite Retreat (June 11-12).

The camp will see several top prospects and potential offers in the 2022 class, but will also have many potential targets in the 2023 class. The Elite Retreat will be an assembling of prospects who are coming by invitation only. This will give them a deep-dive into Clemson and allow them the opportunity to see everything up-close and personal.

Yes, the dead period is finally over and with it, Tiger fans can rest easy knowing that the recruiting woes we’ve seen over the last few months, are likely to come to an end, as well.
