Clemson football fans will have their eye on the 2021 NFL Draft next week to see where their favorite Tigers will now land as they begin their professional careers.

The first former Clemson football player to come off the board won’t take all that long.

The expectation is that Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence will be the first pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and that he’ll begin his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but what about after Lawrence?

Where Clemson football fans can expect Amari Rodgers to land in the 2021 NFL Draft

Amari Rodgers has been lauded as one of the highest-rising prospects in the draft. Scouts love his athleticism as a wide receiver, but they also love how he is built like a running back. That physicality is important at the next level.

Amari Rodgers is considered by most to be a solid Round 3 prospect and that’s where he’ll likely end up. Because of the depth of the WR position in this class, we don’t think there’s much room for upward mobility, but there still is a chance that a franchise could take a look at him with a later pick in the second-round.

A team like the Seattle Seahawks (No. 56) could be intrigued enough to take Rodgers a little higher than most believe he’ll fall and we would pinpoint that selection as probably the ceiling for him.

We see how high Rodgers could fly, but what about how low he could go?

I personally don’t see any way that Rodgers is still available after Round 3. There are too many teams intrigued with what he could bring to the offense for no one to pull the trigger on him, likely before the mid-point of the third round.

He’s going to be gone likely around the mid-point of Round 3 and the lowest we think he’ll fall might be somewhere around pick No. 90 when the Minnesota Vikings are on the clock.

Most Likely Outcome

The most likely outcome for Rodgers will be for him to be taken in Round 3, in the early portion, with the potential for him to fall to the mid-portion of the round.
