Former Clemson QB Deshaun Watson is currently being accused of sexual misconduct in civil lawsuits filed by 22 women and there is a criminal investigation underway following a complaint filed to the Houston Police Department last week.

In these lawsuits managed by lawyer Tony Buzbee, Watson is alleged to have behaved in a manner that is unacceptable during many different massage sessions.

Deshaun Watson has denied the allegations and his lawyer Rusty Hardin has maintained his innocence.

Despite Watson’s avid denial and no evidence being presented as of yet, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that many companies and organizations are starting to distance themselves from the situation.

Nike suspends endorsements of Deshaun Watson & we may see another major company follow suit

In the latest news following the Houston Texans quarterback, Nike announced that it was suspending its endorsements of Deshaun Watson.

"“We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and have suspended Deshaun Watson. We will continue to closely monitor the situation,” Nike said in a statement."

As Tigernet first reported, one endorser of Watson who has been silent so far has been Beats by Dre, though that company could be the next to suspend its endorsements of Watson until an investigation is conducted a verdict is given.

In addition to companies that might be distancing themselves from Watson, the Houston Texans haven’t offered any kind of support for Watson either.

Texans chairman and CEO Ron McNair issued a statement to season ticket holders in a letter condemning abuse.

Watson is a three-time Pro-Bowler who threw for a league-leading 4,823 yards and 33 touchdowns to just seven interceptions during the 2020 season.

Before being drafted by the Texans in 2017, Watson led Clemson to two National Championship appearances and a National Title in his final game ever as a Tiger. The Tigers won two ACC Championships under his leadership and he was a Heisman finalist in each of his last two seasons. Watson graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in just three years.
