The top 2022 defensive recruiting targets at each position for Clemson football

The Clemson football team has yet to garner a commitment on the defensive side of the ball, but there are certainly names and prospects to keep an eye on as we head into the spring.

As part of our spring recruiting previews, Rubbing the Rock is giving you the top targets at each position for the Clemson football coaching staff.

We looked at the offensive side of the ball on Saturday and now we’ll take a look at the defenders who are garnering major interest from the Tigers.

Here’s a look at the top defensive recruiting targets for Clemson football by position in the 2022 class.

Defensive End (8 offers)

Top Targets:

  • Jeremiah Alexander (5-star; Alabaster, AL)
  • Shemar Stewart (5-star; Opa Locka, FL)
  • Cyrus Moss (4-star; Las Vegas, NV)
  • Kenyatta Jackson (4-star; Hollywood, FL)
  • DJ Wesolak (4-star; Boonville, MO)
  • Jihaad Campbell (3-star; Bradenton, FL)

This is the group of defensive ends right now that Tiger fans should keep their eyes on. It’s not going to be easy to beat out Alabama for Alexander or to beat out LSU for Stewart, but the Tigers aren’t out of the race either.

Three guys to really keep your eye on are Cyrus Moss, Kenyatta Jackson and Jihaad Campbell (who is a fast-riser). Though Campbell may just be a 3-star right now, he’s going to be a 4-star before it’s all said and done.
