Five burning questions for Clemson football during spring practice 2021

The Clemson football team will open up spring practice this week and will be looking to begin the journey towards another CFB Playoff berth.

The last time we saw the Tigers on the field, they were handed an embarrassing defeat in the Sugar Bowl. Now, they’ll be looking to use that loss as motivation and get back to the CFB Playoff seeking revenge.

There are some new faces and players who’ll be taking over bigger roles and that’s what the spring is all about.

Here’s a look at five burning questions for Clemson football as we head into the spring.

5. Can D.J. Uiagalelei become the voice & leader of the offense?

It won’t be surprising at all to hear Dabo Swinney talk about how D.J. Uiagalelei has to ‘go out and earn it’ every single day. The coaches are going to push Uiagalelei and they’re going to expect him to prove himself.

That being said, we all know that he’s going to be the starting quarterback.

The big question with Uiagalelei is if- as a sophomore now- he can command the offense. Can he as the leader of that unit get the rest of the guys to buy in? Can he show that natural leadership style and take control of the unit?

Just like Trevor Lawrence had to, Uiagalelei has to find his voice and the spring is the start of that process.
