Clemson football WR Amari Rodgers made some serious cash at the Senior Bowl

Former Clemson football wide receiver Amari Rodgers made a name for himself in a big way at the Senior Bowl this past weekend.

Rodgers, who officially declared for the NFL Draft following the 2020 season, was a participant at the Reese’s Senior Bowl this past Saturday and had quite the performance, not just at the game but at the practices leading up to the matchup.

A part of the ‘American’ team, Rodgers led the team in receptions with four for 23 yards and a touchdown.

Rodgers’ natural speed and athleticism were the two attributes most on display during the week leading into the Senior Bowl. He was lauded for his speed and there’s no doubt that he was one of the best players on the field Saturday when the game was played.

Rodgers wasn’t the only Clemson football player to turn some heads

It wasn’t just Amari Rodgers who made some cash this past weekend, though.

Former Clemson football wide receiver Cornell Powell had two catches and they both went for 21 yards- totaling 42 yards on the day.

Both of these guys are going to have a chance to be mid-round picks and could even work themselves up higher depending upon their NFL Combine and Pro Day performances.

In the end, there’s no doubt that both Rodgers and Powell benefitted from the Senior Bowl and that they came away upping their draft stock even more as a result.

It will be interesting to see where they end up when it’s all said and done in the NFL Draft, but we’ve got no doubt that both guys will have an opportunity to make an impact at the next level because of the experience and development with the Clemson football program.
