Ohio State thinks it’s somehow entitled to a rematch with Clemson football

The more we’ve dealt with Ohio State fans, the more we’ve realized something: They somehow believe they’re entitled to a rematch with Clemson football.

Ever since the Tigers beat the Buckeyes in the Playstation Fiesta Bowl back in 2019, Ohio State fans have been counting down the days until they would get the opportunity to show ‘that cheating, lying, no good Clemson football team’ just what they deserve. Am I right?

Except there’s just one little problem.

You’re not entitled to a spot in the CFB Playoff simply based off your name alone. You’re not entitled to a spot because you almost won a game last year. You’re not entitled to a spot because you might pass the hypothetical ‘eye test.’

You get a spot in the CFB Playoff because you’ve earned it and, frankly, the Buckeyes haven’t.

Even so, they believe playing half a season should give them as much credibility as Clemson football

It has nothing to do with Ohio State not being a good team- they are. But how good? Who honestly knows?

They struggled with the one ranked team that they played and the Big Ten has been absolutely atrocious to watch this season. The conference outside of Ohio State might very well be the worst conference in the Power-5 not named the Pac-12.

And then there’s the little fact that the Big Ten made poor decisions and we’re not midway through December with Ohio State playing just five total games.

That’s right. While Clemson, Alabama, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, even Florida and Cincinnati played two seasons by the Buckeyes’ standards, Ohio State fans- and the Big Ten alike- think they should get in playing half the amount of games.

The Big Ten made poor decisions and now the conference still wants to get the revenue from the CFB Playoff. How is that fair to the conferences that actually played games and put forth real effort to have a season? It’s not.

Next. What happens if the ACC Championship is canceled?. dark

But yet the most entitled fan base in the country doesn’t care about fairness, they just care about that rematch with Clemson football they’ve been begging and dreaming to have for the last 11 months.
