The Tigers have a major opportunity on Saturday to get back on the field after a two-week hiatus due to the bye week and a cancellation by Florida State and it’s clear they’ll be looking to send a message to the nation following their No. 3 overall ranking in the first CFB Playoff poll that came out this past Tuesday.

Clemson football will take out its frustrations on Pittsburgh in a big way
There are two concerns heading into this one as to why Pittsburgh could be competitive and potentially even come away with a win if the Tigers aren’t careful:
- Their passing offense with Kenny Pickett has been solid all season
- Their pass-rush is among the best in the nation
If you were picking out two areas of glaring weaknesses for this Clemson football team, the easiest spots to look have been the offensive line and the defense’s troubles defending the pass at times, especially against an athletic quarterback.
Pittsburgh has both of those things to make this one close, but the problem is this: Clemson hasn’t played in two weeks and the Tigers are frustrated.
You could hear that frustration in the voices of players this week. They’re going to show up Saturday with intentions of taking out those frustrations against the Panthers and that just won’t bode well for Pitt in the end.
