DeAndre Hopkins isn’t just a star WR, he’s a marketing guru

There’s no doubt that DeAndre Hopkins is one of the top wide receivers in the league, but he’s much more than just a talented athlete.

DeAndre Hopkins went viral this past weekend when made easily one of the best plays we’ve ever seen in the NFL. As time was expiring, Cardinals QB Kyler Murray threw up a prayer while being pressured out to his left.

Hopkins was surrounded by three Buffalo Bills defenders- who were all over him with the ball up in the air- and he miraculously came down with it, ultimately giving Arizona the victory.

Anyone watching the current NFL product knows just how valuable DeAndre Hopkins is, but it’s not just about his star wide receiver production.

DeAndre Hopkins’ marketing strategies are building his brand to a sky-high level

Hopkins isn’t just excelling on the field, he’s branding himself on social media in a way that will give him staying power well after his career comes to a close.

Take this simple Tweet from him earlier this week:

Hopkins is engaging with his fans on social media and giving one lucky person a signed jersey.

That engagement is allowing him to remain at the center of the discussion- something branding experts absolutely are always looking for ways to do- and, in many ways, is simply marketing genius.

Hopkins is relatively quiet person when it comes to his overall demeanor, but the preciseness that he is building his brand with can’t be understated.
