Clemson football doesn’t need to worry about rankings

The Clemson football team escaped a big-time horror on Halloween when it found a way to beat the Boston College Eagles.

The Tigers trailed by as many 18 points and were down 28-13 at halftime. Despite trailing for three quarters of the game, Clemson football found a way to claw back and ended up with a 34-28 victory over the Eagles.

With the win, the Tigers remained undefeated on the season and are now slated to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a game that will have everyone’s attention next week.

Clemson football found a way to win and that’s all the Tigers need to do moving forward

Some Tiger fans may be upset if Clemson somehow is removed from that No. 1 overall spot, but they don’t need to be. Though the Tigers are undefeated, there is talk that Alabama could move ahead of them.

Even if the Crimson Tide doesn’t, the truth remains simple: Rankings don’t matter.

Clemson doesn’t have to win with style points any more. All the Tigers have to do is win.

Clemson has four regular season tests remaining in its way before the hopeful ACC Championship game. If the Tigers win those five games- by one point or by 50- they’re in the CFB Playoff.

Honestly, if the Tigers go on to lose the game against Notre Dame this weekend and then win out, they’ll still likely be in the playoff.

The point is simple: No one should care about rankings. No one should care about narratives. It’s all about winning at this point.
