Clemson football faces off against a terrible Syracuse Orange team Saturday.

This is one of those games for Clemson football that staying focused is going to be tougher than the actual opponent.

That said, there is still plenty of reason for even the below-average Clemson football fan to watch on Saturday. There are several potential single-game records that could be broken against the Orange on Saturday in Death Valley.

Records are meant to be broken and while they are a little tougher to break under Coach Swinney simply because he prefers to get young guys as many reps as possible instead of stat-padding, that does not mean this talented roster cannot break any.

We all know this is the most talented team that Clemson football has ever had, especially when you look at the top 22 on offense and the top 22 on defense. Not to take anything away from the current single-game record holders that litter the Clemson record books, but it would be hard to argue that guys currently on this roster are not more talented than anyone over the past 124 years of Tiger football.

Breaking records has as much to do with luck as it does skill and Saturday could be the perfect storm to see many records on both sides of the ball fall.

Here are six records that could potentially be broken on Saturday when the Tigers kick-off against the Orange.
