Clemson football ready for its talented tight end to explode

The Clemson football team has one of the most talented tight ends in the nation on its roster in the form of Braden Galloway.

Galloway caught five passes for 60 yards with a long 25 yards to begin the season against Wake Forest, but has since been fairly quiet in the receiving game. He didn’t have a catch against The Citadel and had just two receptions for 17 yards against Virginia.

Though he hasn’t quite had the beginning that many Clemson football fans had hoped for, there’s no doubt that Galloway has the talent to excel at this level and to be one of the top tight end weapons in the nation.

Galloway is ready to explode for Clemson football

In some ways, it would seem that the Tigers have intentionally held back plays over the middle in the last two games in an effort to have some offensive plays and sets to introduce moving forward.

One of the most effective plays that Clemson football runs is that simply RPO play where Trevor Lawrence has the option to hand the ball off to his running back or pull it and throw to his receiver right over the middle. The Tigers draw the defense in and over to one side and then turn back with wide open space over the middle.

Look for that to become something we see at least a time or two each game and that will definitely be something that we see called against Miami in an effort to get the ball to Braden Galloway.
