Clemson vs. Miami: Final Score Prediction, Analysis

The No. 1-ranked Clemson Tigers will play host to the No. 7-ranked Miami Hurricanes

The Clemson football team will take on the No. 7-ranked Miami Hurricanes Saturday night in an early-season matchup that has major CFB Playoff implications.

The Tigers, who are ranked No. 1 in the nation by the AP Poll, are considered one of the favorites to get back to the playoff and a big-time win early in the season would do nothing but help in continuing to drive home the fact that they are the premiere program in the land.

On the other sideline, though, we have Miami. And you might have ‘The U is back.’ At least, that’s what they tell us. Though we’ve heard that phrase time and time again, the Hurricanes are looking to prove that this time is different. A win would vault them into the discussion of legitimate CFB Playoff contender while a blowout loss could be detrimental.

Clemson vs. Miami: Final Score Prediction & Analysis

Looking at the skill and talent of both teams, we could very well be in for a shootout when it’s all said and done, and that’s exactly what I think we’re going to get.

Miami has a ton of playmakers offensively and they’re going to put up some points, similar to what we saw Virginia do last week. The question is if the Hurricanes’ defense can make enough stops or force enough turnovers for it to matter.

With Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne on the other sideline, that doesn’t seem all that likely.

D’Eriq King, Cam’Ron Harris and Brevin Jordan are big-time playmakers and they’ll put up some points, but that won’t be enough to reel off a victory over the Tigers, who simply still have too much talent and too many explosive weapons of their own.

Final Score Prediction: Clemson 45, Miami 31
