Clemson Football: 10 Bold Predictions for 2020 Season
10 bold predictions for the 2020 Clemson football season
The Clemson football team will open up the 2020 season in just a week’s time against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in Winston-Salem.
While there will be no fans in attendance for the contest, there is still plenty of intrigue surrounding getting this season started. The Tigers are considered the favorite to win the National Championship and there are plenty of interesting storylines heading into the fall.
As we progress closer to the start of the 2020 Clemson football season, here’s a look at 10 bold predictions for the year.
10. We’ll play a full season
Let’s start out with the one prediction that has to do with off-the-field situations more so than on-the-field.
There are plenty of doubters- and understandably so- out there who believe we may very well only see a week, two or three weeks of College Football before it’s all canceled.
However, with improvements and breakthroughs in testing, and with the job that the vast majority of programs have done around the country to stay social distanced and follow protocols, my first bold prediction- how ever strange it may seem- is that we will actually see a full College Football season.
There might be bumps along the way- see MLB, for reference- and we may see a few games postponed or canceled, but in the end, we’re going to see these teams take the field through the fall and be able to see a CFB Playoff committee select its field and, ultimately, crown a National Champion.
