Three keys to seeing Clemson football play this fall

Clemson football fans, along with the rest of the country are anxiously waiting to see the fate of the 2020 season.

While many have given up, others have held out hope that somehow, someway, we’ll be able to see football in the fall.

With that being said, if you want to see Clemson football take the field this fall, you should be paying close attention to these three keys as we head into August.

3. Positive trends in numbers

We’re going to start with the most obvious one.

We here at Rubbing the Rock are not health experts and can’t give you any kind of baseline as to what numbers need to look like for College Football to be played, but officials have continuously said that they’re evaluating the numbers and consulting with health experts.

If we want to see College Football this fall, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey has already said that we need to see number drop. It’s not to say that we have to completely eradicate the virus, but there needs to be a positive trend, especially in communities and states that are seemingly on the rise in terms of percent positive cases and hospitalizations.
