Clemson football fans love watching former Tigers tear it up in the NFL.

Whether it is former Clemson football star Deandre Hopkins, quarterback Deshaun Watson or Christian Wilkins, Tiger fans tune in to see them dominate on Sundays.

This offseason has clearly been much different than other offseason we have ever encountered in sports in our lifetime. Thankfully for a number of people, video games have been a great way to kill time and at least give us some sort of football.

Serious Madden gamers, as well as players themselves, love when the new player ratings are released.

Ratings for rookies are difficult to assess given none of them have yet to take a snap. The ratings of rookie quarterback and wide receiver draft picks have been released ahead of the July 17th Madden 21 release date and former Clemson football player Tee Higgins was among them.

Higgins received an overall rating of 71. He was the 10th overall rated receiver among the 2020 rookies and 13th overall. He was with a group that includes quarterback Jordan Love, receiver’s Devin Duvernay, Laviska Shenault, and Michael Pittman.

Former Alabama player Henry Ruggs was the highest-rated rookie and he came in at a 76 overall, so Higgins was not too far off the mark. No other ACC football players were ranked ahead of Higgins.

Six other former Clemson football players will be ranked for the first time

When the game is released next week, Tee Higgins will be joined by first-round picks Isaiah Simmons and A.J. Terrell, as well as Tanner Muse, John Simpson, K’Von Wallace, and Tremayne Anchrum.

Simmons will more than likely be among the highest graded 2020 rookies and A.J. Terrell won’t be too far behind Higgins in the 70’s. All rookies will see their initial grades improve once they actually see the field for the first time in 2020.

The release of Madden signifies that we are less than two months away from football, which is something to celebrate.
