You can play as Clemson in newest Madden 21 video game
Though many Clemson Tiger fans are patiently waiting for the return of the NCAA Football video game series, they’ll have something to hold them over until then.
While the NCAA Football video game series doesn’t seem to be any closer to returning, Madden 21 announced that it would be expanding its collegiate game play.
One of the teams you can play as? The Clemson Tigers.
EA Sports announced that it would be expanding its college football playing ability to allow the gamer to play two full seasons of College Football, compete in the CFB Playoff and potentially win a couple of National Championships along the way.
The story mode takes you through a player’s rise from high school to college and into the NFL with a strange but interesting storyline:
"“As if that weren’t enough, you’re thrown out of your comfort zone and into disarray when Coach O’Brien (voiced by Robert Patrick) delivers you an ultimatum – either switch positions to Running Back or Wide Receiver, or pack your bags and take your chances in the NFL Draft!”"
In addition to Clemson, you can play as Texas, Michigan State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Miami, Florida, LSU, Oregon and Southern Cal.
It’s not the same, but it’s certainly something for Clemson football fans
Of course we would all love to see the return of the NCAA Football game with the opportunity to play a full dynasty with our favorite team or create a player and play a full collegiate career.
But this is still something.
It will be fun to see Clemson back in a video game and have the opportunity to play two seasons as a Tiger.
Madden 21 will be released on August 25 and is available for pre-order.
